New pool owner....solar blanket and perfect water balance?

Postby Robin9999 » Wed 23 May, 2007 11:52

Hi Everyone,

I am new to all this, so sorry for my silly question. (I have to to jump in.... 66 Deg is still a little too cold for me)

Since adding a solar blanket to my pool, (having it sit on the pool fpr the last 2 weeks), I have not had to add ANYTHING to my pool in the last couple of days to maintain good chemical balance.

Does this sound right?
Is it OK to leave the solar blanket on for a couple of days? How long should I keep it on for ?

Sorry again for the silly question. (I don't want my water to turn green.)

My pool is staying perfect too, with the blanket on all the time. so must be a good thing to do. but if water gets above 90 have to take blanket off as it will get damaged at that temp. so I have been told anyways.

Above 90..... I can only wish.... I hope to see temp hovering around 72 today. (Located in Montreal, Canada)

hehe

Thanks, I feel a little better know that I am not just "lucky" and that they solar blanket is actually helping maintain the balance of chem's in the water.

How long are you suppossed to keep the blanket on for any given period of time. Is 7 days too long?
