Solar Cover Question

Postby Guest » Mon 28 May, 2007 21:58

Does anyone know the PROPER way to use a Solar Cover? Should I take it off in the morning when the sun is out to let the sun warm the pool? Or does the cover let the suns energy thru?
I understand the main purpose of the cover is to keep the heat in but in the spring when the water is 68 deg and the air is 80 deg and sunny I'm thinking I sould remove the cover and let the sun and air temp warm the water and then put the cover back on when the sun goes down.
What do you think?
I have a 24' round above ground pool with a Silver solar cover, I also have a two speed pump that I keep on low 24/7.
Thanks
