Chemicals?

Postby Eviltwin617 » Tue 29 May, 2007 13:11

My chlorine level is fine, however my ph and alkalaine levels are way low. What chemicals do I use to get them up? (I just filled the pool on Wednesday and put 'green out' and a chlorine tablet.)

Arm & Hammer laundry/washing soda (it's a blue box) will raise both pH & TA, or you can buy pH up or soda ash (exactly the same thing) at the pool store and spend more money. The ingredient is sodium carbonate. It will bring up your levels very quickly.

Just make sure you get the washing soda and not the A&H laundry detergent.

8 oz per 10000 gallons of water will bring up your pH .2 After adding, turn on pump and circulate well.
