Not sure if my filter is working the way it should be

I opened my pool yesterday, vacumed shocked turned on the filter, at first the one jet was pushing out with a great deal of force, you were able to see the water pushing out then an hour later or so it stopped. I put my hand up against the opening and felt nothing. Is this normal?

This sometimes happens when you first open the pool and have to vacuum it. The filter is probably dirty and has to be cleaned.

What was your filter pressure reading before & after? This will tell you if it's jut dirty and needing a backwash or something is wrong.
