leaking skimmer lines

Postby peter » Thu 31 May, 2007 12:09

is there a way to seal existing skimmer lines(pvc) with out digging them out ? some kind of sealer you can pour in ? or sleave that will slow down leaks both of water leaking out and air leaking in ?

They make a stop leak but if the crack is anything bigger it won't seal it. Grab a shovel and Good Luck

skimmer lines

I would highly recommend if you plan on digging to just replace the whole line or both for that matter. Think about it......you will have to dig anyhow so why not replace them? Also if your returns are right under the skimmer such as mine were, then replace all the lines and be done with it.

leaking skimmer

Also, forget to mention I tried that stop leak myself and it did nothing for me. My leak was not that large either but the product did not work for me so be skeptical about using it although it is worth a try.
