Low PSI and air in return line

Low PSI and air in return line
I have a PSI reading of 2 and the water return has air in the return(lots of bubbles) every 20-30 seconds

Check your gasket on the pool pump lid, sounds like it might just need to be lubed up or it could be a cracked pipe, but sounds like the first one. Good Luck
