pool antifreeze

Postby jo » Sun 03 Jun, 2007 21:51

We have a 6 year old 20,000 inground liner pool. The pool company that built it opens and closes our pool each season. They charge $800.00 to close the pool...most of which is antifreeze....96 gallons to be exact. After a few seasons, could that much antifreeze be harmful? They claim the antifreeze evaporates. Any comments?

Agreed...and evaporate? Evaporate from where...you pool? The pipes? The ground? $800 is crazy money to close a pool.
