DE filters

I cant seem to figure it out...I prime, checked for leaks, added more DE and still cant seem to get good water pressure in the filter or exiting.
Anyone have any ideas?

i have a sand filter pump and i moved here 3 yrs ago and didnt know i had to backwash,my pool would not clear up this past 2 months so when i backwashed and cleaned the filter and then rinsed it runs great now it would suck the skin off ya.try that
