Please help!

We used about 17 in of well water and the rest city water and the water was green the pool place told us to shock it and now its a dark brown.Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.Thank-You

Probably iron or copper in the water. Have the water tested for metals and treat with appropriate metal out product
