pool water turns hair green
Definitely copper...like the statue of liberty or an old penny.
Did you pour an unusually large amount algaecide in? The cheaper algaecides use copper. Either that or you have well water with lots of copper, bad pipes, or possibly it just built up over time.
The good news is your pool is most likely algae free.

thanks for the help, is there anything else that may cause green hair, like too much chlorine, improper ph, improper alkalinity?

Nope. All those things could agravate the problem, but they arent the cause of it. It's urban legend that too much chlorine is the cause. No copper = no green hair.
