pool stains

I have brownish algae looking stains on the walls of my pool. I've tried algaecide and they are still there. I've tried scrubbing them with a pumice stone and the wire brush but they didn't help at all. What can I do?

Try rubbing them with a chlorine puck/tablet.

Keep your chlorine levels up and they may eventually fade away.
