We went on vacation and treated the pool prior to going and then we returned we had this beige color stuff all over the pool liner. We have already talked with the pool rep here and they helped fix the water but I am having a really hard time getting this stuff off. When you brush it it doesnt budge. Can anyone help?

Could be scale, I suppose. Was your pH and Alk really high?

Try keeping your pH at 7.2 and see if it doesn't soften it enough to brush away.

Depends on what your alk is on what you should use.

If your alk is within normal range, you should be able to simply aerate your pool to raise the pH.

If you are using tablets and pool store powder shock you are probably lowering your pH.

You can also use 20 Mule Team Borax to raise the pH without raising the Alk.

Try not to let your pH go below 7.0 or you can cause permanent wrinkles in your vinyl liner.
