to quick disconnect or not?

Postby wiz28 » Fri 15 Jun, 2007 16:20

I just had all my lines replaced but when they re-plumbed the filter, pump, etc. they did not use a quick disconnect on any of it. I always had it that way so that I could bring everything in for the winter. Now they used clamps on most of it and I think i can manage to remove them and put them back every year. My question is....Is it better to have the quick disconnect or the way they did it or is it a personal preference? Their reason was that they are trying to stay away from threaded connections now. Anyone ever hear of this? Thanks
