Test your water every day, adjust chemicals accordingly, if needed.

Brush, vacuum regularly and run your pump long enough every day.

If you keep on top of your pool with the couple minutes it takes daily to test, you can save yourself a lot of trouble you'll get by not doing so.

It's easier to maintain than to fix a pool that has been neglected.

I have no idea what is in your starter pack. But if you'd like to post your test readings and what all was in your starter pack, someone here will be happy to analyze and tell you more about what you have.

Don't forget to include the volume of your pool in gallons and whether you test was done with test strips or drops.
