rain washed dirt and grass in pool; HELP!

Postby kwood » Mon 25 Jun, 2007 09:02

DURING THE NIGHT RAIN WASHED DIRT AND GRASS INTO POOL AND POOL LOOKS LIKE A POND. IT WAS CRYSTAL CLEAR THE DAY BEFORE. WHAT DO WE DO TO GET RID OF THIS MESS? WE USE BAQUACIL PRODUCTS AND I HAVE SOME FLOCCULANT. WE CUT OFF THE PUMP BECAUSE EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE GOING RIGHT BACK IN AND FIGURED THAT IF IT SETTLED TO THE BOTTOM THEN WE COULD VACUUM IT TO WASTE. IS THAT THE BEST SOLUTION OR SHOULD WE FLOC IT?

I would try and get everything you can out with a net and then vaccum to waste the rest, make sure you put plenty of water in the pool. It will take a short time to get it all out, but in few days with vacuuming and cleaning you should be able to get to see the bottom again.
