Desperate need of 1.5" MALE PIPE-1.5" FEMALE HAYWARD Fitting

Postby Poolman999 » Mon 22 Jun, 2020 15:20

Hi i have recently bought an aeroator, the only problem is I cant connect it to my Hayward outlet which is a 1.5" male fitting and the aerator device has a 1.5" pipe thread?

Does anyone know where I can find an adaptor that will be, 1.5" MALE PIPE on one side and 1.5" FEMALE HAYWARD Fitting on the other, as this will allow me to connect to the two together.

I dont get why Haywards threads are like this, and are slightly larger than the pipe thread but hey!!

thanks alot, Steve

Problem resolved, i didnt realize the ball return fitting comes out and a 1.5" female pipe thread remains!!, Although i had to break the fitting as it was completely stuck....it took 2 pool shops before someone informed me of this haha
