Purple Staining

Any recommendations, the only way we seem to be able to get rid of it is drain entirely, allow to dry and then sweep out. It's a 10,000 gal pool. Any input Greatly appreciated.

This implies that it is not staining, but rather a film of some sort. It could be a fungus or water mold.

Please post some more details about the nature of the "stains" and the surface of the pool.
