Slippery Bottom

Algae problems in swimming pool water.
Green (cloudy) water or slimy pool walls.
Black algae. Mustard algae. Pink or white pool mold.

Slippery Bottom

Hi, I have an inground pool in Upstate NY and the weather has been crazy with a lot of rain. The pool is a 14 x 28' and around 14000 gallons.

I noticed a slippery bottom yesterday and some black algae. Should some extra shock take care of this?

I used the testing strips and the PH looks good, Chlorine looks ok but the alkalinity is high.

Advice??? I'm new to having a pool.

vinyl liner

the pool has a vinyl liner.
