:( We get the pool sparkling clean, by running pump with all the correct chemicals/vaccumm etc. THEN, we shut the pump off after 48 hrs, and turn it back on in the A.M. and it shoots green water out of the pump!! How can this be happening? Then we start all over again, backwash, chemicals, and leave pump on for days, and so on.....

My first question would be why would you shut off your filter for two days? It could just be algae growing in your lines due to lack of circulation. You shouldn't go for more than 12 hours without turning the pump on.
