First of all Hello, and a thank you in advance to anyone who can help!
I have a Bestway sand filter pump, model no. 58515 and after getting it back out after winter I’ve set the pool up, plugged pipes in and primed it and went to switch it on and NOTHING. It has been dry stored all winter.
This is the second time this has happened to me now and I’m wondering if there’s something I’m doing wrong or these pumps just literally last a year!!
After having to replace it two years ago after it not turning on after winter I thought I’d try this forum out to see if there’s something simple I’m not doing.
I’ve spent the afternoon fiddling with it but no joy.
Please can anyone suggest anything I can try to get it to start. Otherwise the entire thing is going in the bin.
Thank you.

Did you manage to turn the shaft as it could be jammed or blocked

Re: Pump not turning on! HELP!
Hiya, yep, tried that and it made no difference. I just can’t believe it’s happened twice. Surely dry storing these pumps should keep them in working condition. There’s not much that can go wrong! There’s no blockages In the pipes. There must be something simple I’m not doing!!
