Maggots in pool

Hi i have maggots in my pool please explain where they came from. I do have a tree hanging over the pool and was wondering what i could do to prevent this in the future.

Have you resolved your issue with maggots in your pool, we do not have any overhang and have recently had maggots in the pool, very serious cause for concern....would appreciate any help anyone has.

Yikes! Today my mother-in-law came over to swim and we found we had maggots in our pool! Gross! And not what you want your mother-in-law to see. Does anyone have any ideas what this is from? We live in PA and there are no overhanging trees. There were no animal carcasses anywhere. Nothing in the filters - not even a hair.

They had to come from some where, maybe roof that has tree near by, no matter how, scoop them out and keep chlorine level normal.

most likely it's web worms and not maggots. they come from oak trees

BTW, spray the tree with liquid BT, or have a tree expert do it

What is liquid BT??

Kill them with a chlorine overdose and check your filter. If your system wasnt working for a while, they keep alive in your filter system.
