problem vacuuming

Postby mokiepoet » Thu 19 Jul, 2007 21:44

Hi,
I have a 18 x 4 easy set pool with a kyrstal clear filter. Every time I try to vacuum the dirt on the floor, it comes right back into the pool. It's rather frustrating, I was hoping some one might have a solution.
Thank you

Have you tried a flocking agent? It will allow the fine particles to stick together and hold in the filter better.

I'm assuming you have a cartridge filter? Or is it sand? If you have a sand filter and skimmer, you can put a knee-high over the edges of the basket and it will trap the fine particles the sand isn't catching when you vaccuum.

I have used algae guard, shocks and clairifiers. It is a cartridge filter- the knee high is a great idea, I'm going to try that. thanks
