Weekly pool service and filter maintenance

Postby Sacgurl » Sat 11 Feb, 2023 16:13

I’ve read that we should acid-clean-soak the filter cartridges upon opening the pool for the season, and at closing it down. I’d like to know if this is a service that is generally included, or specially requested. I’d like to avoid waiting until the solar vacuum starts sucking air due to dirty filters, then having to wait for the pool tech to clean them. Advice, thoughts? Thanks

Acid washing is chiefly done to remove calcium build up as that can hide pathogens. How often depends on how hard your water is rather than a hard and fast
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
