I'd like to know how to get rid of these biters, too. My chlorine (salt generated) and other levels are good and my pool is surrounded by desert (central AZ and no sod within miles) yet these biters keep re-appearing. Any answers?

Buy one of several brands of liquid "solar covers". One is Natural Chemistry's "Cover Free", comes in a 32 ounce bottle. These products form an invisible barrier on the water's surface, which conserves a pool's heat, lessens evaporation, and....prevents the predaceous diving beetles from reaching air above water. No air, no beetle! These solar cover replacements last from one to three months. Solved my own long-term beetle invasion!!
