Pool liner slipped

Postby Fitzy » Tue 24 Jul, 2007 12:19

Our pool 24'x 52" is 3 yrs old - professionally installed / heavy gauge liner - when we opened the pool (very late this year!) we saw that the liner has slipped off about half way around the pool. Water on both side of pool - sand everywhere; concrete blocks exposed - a horrible mess. Called the installer who blames the pool store sold us a defective liner or the wrong liner for the pool. The pool store blames the installer. We are stuck in the middle - what would cause a J beaded liner to slip off? We are pissed that no one will be accountable for their actions and help us resolve this. We've spent close to $1000 on the professionals. What needs to be done to fix this problem so we can enjoy the pool this year? August is a week away. Thanks.

I would be taking the installer to task. If it is the wrong liner, why didn't he tell you that when he installed it?

If it just popped out, your pool will need to be completely drained and the liner re-installed. If it ripped, a new liner is in your future.
