How do I bring TA down just a little?

Postby Amy » Wed 25 Jul, 2007 09:58

My TA is 130 and PH is 7.4. I like my TA at 110. I have sodium bicarbonate to raise it but nothing to lower it. I may have some myratic acid but i will have to go look. If I use that how much do I put and how long to wait before swimming?

Thanks for the help!

Unless you have a problem with rising pH over time, you don't really have to lower your TA level (unless your pool is way over-saturated with calcium carbonate with a very high CH level). To lower the TA, whether it's a little or a lot, you use the procedure in this post.
