I have an IG Pool with a tarp like cover. I closed the pool last week and there is a lot of water. We have had rain, but I suspect that there is a hole or the tarp is compromised. What do you guys suggest I do? I cleaned the debris off the pool cover. Will this be okay? I live in Massachusetts.
Thanks! Re: Pool on top of pool cover
As you are going about pool care the hard way its not easy to suggest anything. There are pool pillows about 3ft square that you can inflate but you'll need a few. Even then water will pull areas of the cover down, solid covers usually have a mesh strip to allow some water to drain through, without that and without tension in the cover you are always going to struggle and hate pools. Full mesh covers on the other hand let through all the water and most of the light so algae grows underneath and why anyone would buy one of those is beyond me.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
