Has anyone ever had Ostracod in their pool? These are microscopic crustations that live in ponds and lakes.....apparently someone has brought them into our pool on a bathing suit that was not washed before the got out of the lake and into our pool. Causes a yellowish brown deposit in the pool that we thougth was mustard algae

Haven't heard that one before, but that's interesting. One more thing that looks like yellow/mustard algae -- pollen sometimes being another (though it's usually more on the surface). How did you determine that it was Ostracod? Did you look in a microscope or have someone identify it who knows what it is?
