yellowish/green stains

Postby btyler5147 » Tue 11 Sep, 2007 10:37

I have a gunite pool that was just re-marcited three years ago. Two weeks ago I noticed some yellow/green stains on portions of the steps and part of the wall. They will not clean off after shock and brushing. I have a spot cleaner attachment that I attach to my pole and have used muratic acid and liquid chlorine on the stains with no luck. Any ideas?

sounds like a stain if you can not remove it with scrubbing. How big is problem area?

you can try this, take 1/2 pound ph reducer and put it in a white sock and let it sit on area for 15mins. If it removes stain, it's mineral/metals in water. Start using metal remover agent to keep metal in water undercontrol.
