Pool sand problem

Postby james » Wed 03 Oct, 2007 07:49

Sand found at the back of a house near my pool. Is it coming from my Pool Filter and how. All I did was back washing... water level went down about 1-2 inches... not sure if I did "To Waste" while vacuming...instead of backwash. Does sand come out... did not even see the pipe or am I leaking.

Whens the last time you inspected inside of filter?
There could be a loose lateral located at the bottom of your filter. Tighten any loose laterals, replace if broken.

If filter had a leak you would see water leaking out onto ground or into backwash trap and would notice water loss from pool or see big water bill if you have auto-filler.
