Hayward Viper floats more cleans less

Postby crickhome » Sat 15 Apr, 2006 08:30

2 year old Viper has worked well in past. Now the rear wheels seldom touch the surface and it rarely climbs out of the deep end. Also tends to flip on its side when reversing and may stay that way through cycle. Pool store wants to replace the "manifold" and the the gear box but I cannot see how those replacements will solve the floating problem.

Pool Viper problem

Maybe the hose floats have shifted or need adjusting to get the rear end down. Once that is solved it should stop flipping and will move better.
