First thing, do you have test kit to check salt level?
If not buy one so you can check salt level, if you do have test kit what does it show?
Does your salt system display panel show the salt level? Grab your owners manuel which will tell you if it does show salt level reading.

If you have added salt and sensor still shows low salt you may need to clean your salt cell. This happens from calcium buildup on plates inside salt cell. You want to read owners manuel which will tell you how they want you to do this. Most companies say to get a bucket with 50/50 water & muriatic acid mix & soak in bucket but rapping elect.-cord with something to protect it. Once calcium deposits are gone and it looks clean reattach.
If salt levels are good and salt cell is clean then you need to call company and check warranty or have service call.

The salt level is ok. I closed the pool for winter over the weekend and even after adding chlorine shock the indicator lights only managed to show normal activity for 30 minutes before dropping to show both red lights. I will try cleaning the cell.
Thanks
