BACKWASH AND RINSE DURING WINTER MONTHS

Postby MIKEGOUGH1 » Sun 21 Oct, 2007 18:27

I live in Mobile, Alabama where it does not get cold enough to worry about winterizing my pool, but I did purchase a mesh cover for leaves. I plan to run the pump during the winter, maybe cut back a little. I have a sand filter system with salt generating chlorine. Currently, I backwash and rinse the filter once a week per the pool builders instructions. Do I need to backwash and rinse as often during the winter months?

You will have to look and see for yourself, I would say no but it will depend on the color of the water when you backwash. Good Luck
