As you can guess from the name I'm new to maintaining a pool. We have a built in 40,000 gallon pool or so I was told. I used an Aqua EZ test kit and my cl and ph are both high. The water looks great but the numbers are off. Times are tuff and a week ago I had to let me pool guy go. When it rains it pours should be my new name. I live in San Diego where the county has been on fire for a week now. My home is safe but the fires were close and had thick layers of ash all over. I've cleaned the pool and yard but continue to get very small amounts of ash still. I've added ph (-) to the pool becuase I thought I had to work on bringing the ph down. It's not working. Any help would be appreciated. Also do I need to clean the filter because of all the ash??
Thanks for any help
