Large amount of leaves in pool

Postby Poolmess » Wed 19 Apr, 2006 15:39

We had a local pool company open our in-ground pool. The cover was full of leaves, debris and water and they just dumped it all into the pool when they took the cover off, then they triple shocked it and we have not seen anyone since. Now we are left with a huge amount of leaves and debris in the pool. What is the best way to get the leaves that are settled in the bottom of the deepest (10’) part of the pool? Is it safe to vacuum

LEAVES IN POOL

WE DIDN'T COVER OUR POOL(BIG MISTAKE). OUR POOL HAD A LOT OF LEAVES & DEBRIS. WE WERE TOLD TO MAKE SURE ALL LEAVES WERE OUT OF POOL BEFORE WE SHOCKED IT. IT HAS TAKEN FOREVER, BUT I THINK WE HAVE GOTTEN ALL OUT, & SHOCKED, BUT POOL IS STILL BROWN!! WE USED A FISH NET TAPED TO OUR LONG POLE TO GET THE MAJORITY OUT, THEN A LEAF NET TO GET THE SMALLER LEAVES & FINE DEBRIS OUT. LOTS OF LABOR & LONG DAYS AHEAD. HOPE THIS HELPS

I tie the vacuum hose to the pool vacuum pole and suck the leaves out that way.
