stains at side of steps

Stains on the pool surfaces, pool equipment
or on the swimmers, or off-color swimming pool
water. Discolored but clear pool water.

stains at side of steps

Have some black stains at side of steps leading into pool. Some of them can come off with my nail or a stiff brush, but some of them are stubborn. Figured its Algae so treated with algaecide..am I right?
