White Slime

Algae problems in swimming pool water.
Green (cloudy) water or slimy pool walls.

White Slime

I have a white slime in my above ground pool. Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it?

What you have is a fungus called Paecilomyces lilacinus. High free chlorine levels (above 10ppm) and copper-based algeacides are usually effective.

I have found the Pool Wizard kills it also, and prevents its reappearance.
