I am planning on building a pool very soon and an wondering what whether a one or two-speed pump is better?

Pool pump options

I prefer a one-speed. The pump is either on or off. At least when it's on I know that I have good circulation (and filtration), and I set the run times according to the pool turnover rate and the season.

Do you have a spa?

Thanks for your response. Are you running a spa with your pump as well?

Pool and spa

No spa. We usually put in a blower and separate pump for the spa combos. The main pump circulates and filters the water for the pool and spa, while the pump and blower only run the jets in the spa - no filtration.
