I turn on the pump and everything seems fine. There is good presure coming out of the outlet circulating the water in the pool. But after an hour or so of the pump running the presure drops to almost nothing. What could be causing this problem?

How old is your pump? Could be a pump problem.

It may also be related to a problem on the suction lines. Open the skimmers and the main drain, then see if the pump does the same thing. If not, you probably have a blockage on the skimmer line.

The pump is only a year old. It is an above ground pool and there isn't a main drain, only the skimmer. The pool came with the house when I bought it. How should I try to check to see if the lines are clogged?

There wouldn't appear to be an obstruction because the pump works fine for an hour.
