leaf staining

We opened our pool two weeks ago and can not remove the leaf stains on the plaster that happen during the winter. Any suggestions other than shocking the pool & brushing??

Leaf stains are organic and should eventually come out with the chlorine. If you have a white plaster pool with granular shock you can throw some shock directly on the stain.
