pool losing water over night

Postby Guest » Mon 12 May, 2008 08:21

I had my pool opened last thursday and i overfilled it over the weekend to vacuum to waste yesterday. I vacuumed yesterday and backwashed my DE filter when i discovered that i had no more De left in the garage and it was late on Sunday night. I kept my De filter running over night with no De in it and this morning my pool which is in ground 20 x 40 and 3 foot to 6 foot in depth lost about a foot of water. Could this have happened because i had no DE in my filter or is something else wrong here?

DE has no bearing on water loss. You have a leak somewhere.
