Foam on Pool and water loss

Postby pectin » Tue 13 May, 2008 20:20

I changed the pool liner by using a professional pool builder/ installer. When opening the pool the water looks fine... when doing a backwash and flush out [the water going out to waste] the water lowered like 1 inch or less in 1/2 hr... is that common. Also when putting bleach on + shock... after 24 hours [during which I did a lot brushing and others] when I got back... there was some foam on the pool. Is that common?

I would think your pool should have lost more water, maybe your pump basket is full or the impellor is clogged with crap? sometimes you can get a bit of a foamy residue from an intial shock. especially if you have organics in the pool or pump..
