Pressure loss when vacuuming

Postby Dean Groves » Thu 15 May, 2008 11:50

I have plenty of pressure and the pipe in the skimmer nearly takes my fingers off but when i attach the pipe to the cleaning head there is an immediate pressure loss and virtually no suction!
I have installed a new pump and checked the selector, bomba and sand and all seem fine.
Can anyone help me??

Did you first prime the hose? If there is air in the hose when you attach it to the skimmer the air will be sucked into the system causing you to lose the prime.

pressure loss

I had the same problem and went to pool wholesale and they said I most likely had an air leak somewhere and to replace the o-ring that seals the lid of my pressure pump. That was the problem. I hope this helps you. let us know if it does.
