I have an above ground pool w/sand filter. The pressure is around 35 (bouncing a lot) and the water going into the skimmer is being sucked in so fast that it can't keep up??-like a toilet flushing, then air goes thru and back out into the pool. Water level is fine & have backwashed and chemically cleaned the sand, but no change. Any advice?
Thanks!!
pressure high/sucking air
If you skimmer is pulling air then your water level is proabably low. Try raising the water a couple inches and see if this helps. Or your pump may be oversized (which I have heard happens with AG pools). Backwashing allows for higher suction rates because there is less dirt reducing flow and increasing pressure.

not sucking anymore
I added water and that helped but we have never had to keep the level that high before (3rd year with this pool). If that's all it is Great!!! Thanks
