Little holes in plaster after scrubbing off black algae?

Postby poolqueen » Fri 23 May, 2008 09:48

I´m in the middle of tackling my black algae - I´m scrubbing it all off with a metal brush and I´ve noticed little holes where I´ve brushed it off - is this something to add to my list of worries?
Thanks in advance - this is a great site!

black algae will do that in the process of imbedding itself into the plaster. The metal brush your using and the treating with a black algea treatment and high chlorine will kill off the algea. If the surface is rough after treatment, you may have a whitecoat in your coming years. But with my experience, what your seeing is normal. Hope this helps.
