No Pressure, no suction, New Pump - Please Help

Postby llegomikey1 » Sun 25 May, 2008 16:53

I have a new pump and I am getting little to no suction. I get the same thing when I just recirculate. I know I keep getting a lot of air in the filter. What could be the problem? This is driving me crazy :x

Make sure the pump top is clean and the oring is lubricated. Also make sure all valves are open. Make sure your water level is good. If there is air in the pump then you are sucking in air somewhere. Most often it is from the top of the pump but if not you may have a suction side leak.

It's a new pump. Top is clean and the oring is lubed up. How do I check for a suction side leak?
