foaming on top

I have been trying to get my pool clean for almost 2 weeks now....The whole top is covered in white foam, i have skimmed it off several times and it will settle if i turn the pump off, but as soon as i start filtering again, it all foams back up...The ph is ok and the chlorine is ok....but my water is still cloudy , can only see about 6 inches down the side of the pool...It is an above ground pool, bought a new motor and sand filter last year, fresh sand put in 2 weeks ago..any help greatly appreciated...I live in the middle of nowhere, so i cannot take the water somewhere to be tested and having someone out here is about impossible too..Thanks

Did you happen to add an algaecide to your pool? If so, what type? Some algaecides sold at places like Walmart etc can cause foaming when too much is used.
