bottom drain on AG

Any opinions on installing a bottom drain on a above ground pool for better cleaning. Do they leak?

Not recommended. If it were a good feature then the manufacturers would include it as standard or optional.

I have one in my above ground (five years now) and it sure seems to help on the circulation (27ft round). It's never leaked or given me problems. It was highly recommended by the pool place.
