having a small pool i have been told to aerate my pool to lower TA. How should i do this in a 12ft.*36in. pool

Any way you can. Turning up the return(s) to break the water surface will help. If you have a pool cover pump, you can use it to pump water from the pool to a shower that splashes into the pool. You can have kids get in and splash like crazy. You can buy a pool fountain that has it's own pump.
