pool water

my pool water is crystal clear but my ph is below 6.8 . I added 40 ounces of ph plus but there has been no change. The water is still very clear but i cant seem to get the ph up

Have you checked your TA? Chances are this is very low to 0. If this is the case you need to raise both. About 12lbs of pH up per 10000 gallons of water.
